Paradise Gray

Paradise Gray, "The Architect" of the X Clan is a writer and photographer with articles and photographs appearing in the Source Magazine, XXL, Wax Poetics, Right On!, and VH1's 30 Years of Hip-Hop History TV Special. An archivist and Hip-hop historian with a great hip-hop memorabilia collection (The Paradise Collection), Paradise has been a writer, producer, artist, activist and manager of entertainment for the Legendary hip-hop club, The Latin Quarters. In 1987 Paradise joined with Lumumba Carson  to form The BlackWatch Movement, which spawned the groups X Clan, ISIS, Queeen Mother Rage, Unique and Dashan and Professor X himself. Both of the X Clan's albums "To The East Blackward" and "XODUS" are considered hip hop classics. The X Clan has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award and has spoken before the Congressional Black Caucus. Paradise is also co-founder (with Jasiri X) of the Pittsburgh-based activist organization One Hood.
