Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson is The Executive Director of Truth is Power. He has served as the national youth director for The NAACP, Vice President of Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Summit Action Network and Deputy Director for People For the American Way. An active journalist, he’s the host and producer of BET’s Cousin Jeff Chronicles, co-host of BET’s “Meet the Faith” and provides commentary on NPR’s News and Notes. His commitment to fostering broad-based communication about issues related to race, politics, and popular culture have led him to give hundreds of keynote lectures at the nation’s leading colleges and universities. An ordained AME minister, Johnson is also a frequent guest speaker in pulpits and at community centers across the country.
